How To Find Blind Stealing Opportunities With Poker Office 5

Introduction

In the previous article, we found that it's profitable to try stealing the blinds from the dealer position if the blinds fold more than 57% of the time. This means that the multiple of the two blinds' "Fold to Steal%" values needs to be above 57%. This criteria will be fulfilled if both players have "Fold to Steal %" values above 76%.

The situation becomes even more profitable if their "Folded Continuation Bet Flop %" values are over 20%.

This article will therefore show readers how to use Poker Office to find players who match the above criteria, and who will therefore be strong candidates for blind stealing.

Poker Office Steal Search

In the main window, go to the Player Search tab.

  • "Nr Of Hands" between 100 and blank.
  • "Folded SB to Steal %" between 0 and 100.
  • "Folded BB to Steal %" between 0 and 100.
  • "Folded to Continuation Bet Flop %" between 0 and 100.

Press the Search button.

Poker Office will now display a table that contains the information required to identify blind stealing candidates.

Identifying Blind Stealing Candidates with the Live Tracker

If you are at an online Poker table, using Poker Office, and wish to know if you should try stealing the blinds from your neigbours:

  • If the Live Tracker window is not started, start it.
  • From the Statistics menu, select Customize Display.
  • Add the following statistics to your Selected Statistics (assuming they are not already there):

    - Folded SB to Steal %

    - Folded BB to Steal %

    - Folded to Continuation Bet Flop %

Look at the statistics for the two players immediately to your left. They will be the small and big blinds when you're the dealer. So if they are suitable steal candidates and the action is folded to you pre-flop when you're on the button, then you probably want to raise and attempt a steal, regardless of your hand.

If they raise your steal attempt, then you need to look at your cards and make a decision.

If either of them call and they have a "Folded to Continuation Bet Flop %" statistic greater than 20% then you should continuation bet the flop.
