How To Find Loose Players With Poker Office 5

Tight players only play premium hands, and will therefore be harder to extract cash from. While looser players will tend to play weaker hands, such as Ax with low kickers, and will therefore be more likely to part with their cash.

Poker Office 5 can be used to find players with certain statistical characteristics. One such statistic is the Saw Flop % (SF). Players who see over 35% of flops are more likely to be loose players.

This article will therefore show readers how they can find weak players using Poker Office 5.

From the Settings drop down menu, choose Preferences. Then select the Advanced tab.

From this article, we can see that if we a player has seen 49% of flops over 49 hands, then we can be 95% confident that they are seeing over 35% of hands over the longer term. (the table is for VPIP, but is applicable to SF, as it's a confidence interval table for sample frequencies, that have 35% as the 95% lower bound).

So on the Min nr of hands to qualify drop down, select 50. Then click Save Preferences.

Click on the Performance tab. The Player Toplist table will be in the lower part of the display window.

Click on Update (in the top middle of the window) to refresh the data.

Click on the SawFlop % column header to sort the results by SF. Sort the results in descending order (this may require two clicks, not one).

The loosest players are now show at the top of the table. From the confidence intervals table, we know that we can confidently assert that players with a SF above 49% over 49 hands, will tend to see over 35% of flops. Therefore, the players at the top of the table and with a SF above 49%, are the ones that serious players would want to compete against.
